Hey gang, wondering if anyone else has this issue on PS5: I start a new game, and on the loading screen the characters suddenly start speaking and I see a few cards drawn in the bottom,, then they disappear. The loading screen stays there until after 20 seconds the game crashes. I've tried to uninstall the game and reinstall it. Uninstalling & reinstalling then restarting the console seems to have fixed it. Also, if you’re playing the cross compatible version, make sure you’re on the PS5 one. That helps too. Doesn’t work for me uninstall the game 3 times and reinstall every time it crash. This was also the solution for me. I Got a crash right after the “press any button”. Went to restore licenses which also failed. Sony says to restart your modem and PS5 and wait 5 minutes. I was going to do that and saw there was a download in progress and checked and realized the game wasn’t completely downloaded. I have a ps5, a PS4 pro, and a PS4 and it’s only effecting the ps5. The other two have no issues. It’s a problem with epic and Fortnite only. No other game crashes the whole system. Also have to unplug it from power completely for it to turn back on. By Hard freezing/crashing, I mean having to turn off the PS5 by Holding down the Power-Button for 10 seconds or so. The System then always has to rebuild the database on next startup.
